A USD STORY - MOVE STOP TO BREAK EVEN

Posted by stewart in Untagged

The USD has gained across the board this morning and was probably due for a bounce as large hedge funds short the USD the entire year lock in their profits. In what could be a self profiling prophecy as the USD gains more sellers may emerge pushing the USD further and lead to more gains for the belagured buck. I am still in my short EUR/JPY and have moved my stop loss to my cost so this trade is essentially risk free for me.

I wish all of you a merry weekend and will be back writing my blog come Monday.

NEW TS SIGNAL

Posted by stewart in Untagged

A very good morning to all of you, I have just sold EUR/JPY AT 164.45 and placed my stop at 165.35 and my take profit level at 162.45. I am looking to cash 200 pips from this trade. As the JPY is very much equity driven, yesterday the FOMC made some startling comments about adding liquidity to the banking system. Wall Street responded with a powerful 275 point rally only to see this fizzle out late in the day. The theme seems to be sell on strength and based on this I have decided to play this to the short side.

I wish all of you a happy holiday shopping season and will check back with all of you tomorrow.

Mixed Signals on Dailies

Posted by stewart in Untagged

A good day to all of you who tune in to read my blog. I have to record a loss on my eur/cad short of -115 pips. This month is still showing me some profit but at this moment in time I am in no positions. The daily charts are all showing mixed signals, especially after the FOMC somewhat disappointed the markets with only a token 25 basis point cut. With this indecision coupled with extremely illiquid markets the best course of action is to stay away.

I will be back tomorrow around the same time to see if there is any good trades for us to make some money.

A Very Quiet Start

Posted by stewart in Untagged

My apologies for posting this blog very late, for me it is 8pm on the west coast and I am still fuming about the fact that on Friday the CAD could not break the bids at the parity level. As such I am still in my EUR/CAD short. In around 24 hours time the FOMC is set to announce an interest rate cut, how this will affect the USD is less clear cut. I am a very long term trader and don' t trade news events, speeches or announcements. In December things are usually very quiet and I only have a handful of trades. I have stuffed my stocking with 300 pips so far this month so I really can't complain.

Have a nice day

NEW TS SIGNAL

Posted by stewart in Untagged

A good day to all my faithful supporters of forexjustice.com. I have reviewed the charts and along with my software package I have entered the following trade a short time ago:

a) SHORT EUR/CAD 1.4770, profit 1.4400, stop 1.4885

A very nice risk-reward ratio on this trade and I will adjust the stop loss and profit level over coming days. This is the only position I am currently in and will post my blog as usual next week. I have to get to some early X'mas shopping with my family and am wishing for a very profitable weeks ahead.

Have a nice day.

TS CASHED IN FOR 100 PIPS

Posted by stewart in Untagged

The founders of this website are certainly happy that I will be their guest for a few weeks. The EUR/USD short I had opened up a few days ago was closed for a nice profit. Since I have been providing free signals to people of this website I have raked in a 300 pip profit.

I am in no open positions at this time, and all my indicators are telling me that the USD still has room to gather strength.  I have always loved trading forex as it is such a nice trending market. Sterling continues to plummit and I think we have seen a possible top at 2.011 and we could head back towards the 1.800 level over the next few months.

I once again encourage all of you to post your reviews, good or bad, just the truth so other forex traders can make wise decisions when choosing a broker or a signal provider.

I will look carefully at my charts over the next 24 hours to see if I can come up with another profitable signal for all of you.

Have a nice day.

TS CASHED IN FOR 200 PIPS

Posted by stewart in Untagged

A beautiful morning to all of you wherever in the world you may be. The GBP/USD short I opened yesterday has closed a few minutes ago triggering my profit level of 2.0470. This was a nice easy +200 pips for all of my subscribers.

My current holdings are:

1) SHORT EUR/USD AT 1.4660 PROFIT OF 1.45680 AND NEW ADJUSTED STOP LOSS OF 1.4840

The liquidity is very thin these days, so there is excess volatility. My software has not triggered another trade yet and I will see if anything develops tomorrow. Yesterday the Bank of Canada surprised the markets with a 25 basis points cut and the pressure will be for the Bank of England to do the same tomorrow. Personally I think they will and we could well see sterling break below the 2.00 level.

I have become USD bullish as my charts are showing this so I expect my next few Turning Signals (TS) to reflect this optimism.

See you all tomorrow

NEW TS - SHORT GBP/USD

Posted by stewart in Untagged

Looking back at yesterdays trading activities, it looked quite uninspiring with the eur/usd confined in a 40 pip range throughout the NY session. I am still in with my eur position and I have just opened a short on the British pound. I have decided to go short GBP/USD at 2.0670. I have a rather tight stop loss of 2.0770 and a profit level of 2.0470. This month there may be a lot of false breakson the price and one has to tread carefully with rather tight stop losses. By the way TS = Turning signal.

Technically the USD looks good for some strength in the short term. Hedge funds and other macro accounts will be squaring their books as we get to year end closings and they maybe forced to buy the USD after selling it for much of the year.

I will adjust the stop loss / and or profit levels on my positions tomorrow.

My First blog

Posted by stewart in Untagged

My name is Stuart Ralston and I am the founder of turningsignals.com. I am an active forex trader in the currency markets but unlike most participants, I tend to take a slightly longer term view of investing with a goal of trying to get between 150-300 pips per position that I take on.

The founder of forexjustice.com contacted me a few weeks ago to see If I was willing to give my signals for free for a few weeks. I am a big believer in forex review sites and the answer is simple. There are so many scams out there with forex brokers and signal providers that there should be more review sites out there so new forex traders don't get ripped off by their brokers. I know of many stories where people have put money in their broker accounts only to have found out it suddenly disappeared. I know of several stories of postions being mysteriously being opened and closed against the clients wishes.

So for several weeks I will be very happy to publish my signals and my views on the forex markets. I only wish all of you will support this site and give as many reviews as possible on all the different brokers and signal providers out there.

As I am the guest of this service I have asked forex justice NOT to publish any reviews of my site. I do not want to anyone to think that I have some published agenda in making forex justice succeed. I just like honest forex reviews with no hidden agendas so all forex traders can make up their mind as to what brokers and signal providers might suit them the best.

So to all of you out there, please submit as many reviews as you can with the companies that you have experienced.

I wish you all a great trading day!
